Thanks to the temperate climate, Ventura County produces crops year-round. Farmers involved in vegetable and berry production typically plant and harvest multiple crops each year, while orchard crops ripen and are harvested for many months at a time. The three leading crops for 2013 are: 1st Strawberries $608,765,000; 2nd Avocados $209,723,000; and 3rd Raspberries $196,370,000*.
